Resources For YES Groups

For the last few months, I've been creating a number of initiatives and resources for Independence supporters some of which seem to have been lost in the ether, so I'm putting them all on here with our website links so you can find them easily.

Campaign FREE SCOTLAND FROM WESTMINSTER RULE
Flipbook of Large Banner photos
Flipbook of Colin Dunn's rebuttal material 159 pages
FREE SCOTLAND FROM WESTMINSTER RULE Crowdfunder
Petition To BBC and UK Government
Video Brochure
Passport to Scotland Booklet
AdVan
Website free-scotland.scot progress

Rather than post full articles on this email, there are url links to each initiative/resource and a brief summary of each on my website.

Campaign Free Scotland From Westminster Rule
Our main campaign. The National has covered this since Laura Pollock’s article https://www.thenational.scot/news/25417492.scottish-independence-activists-campaign-1-message/
See https://free-scotland.scot/campaign-10048

Flipbook of Large Banner photos
These are photos of most of the large banners bought using funds from our first Crowdfunder and match funding from Scottish Independence Foundation.
The photos were provided by each YES group who received banners from us, and compiled into a Flipbook which can be viewed on mobile/tablet/pc. This link to the Flipbook can be shared freely.

Flipbook of Colin Dunn’s Rebuttal Material and artwork
Graphic Artist and fellow campaigner Colin Dunn and I have put together a massive catalogue - all 159 pages - of his most recent material to inspire campaigners to use these as rebuttal messaging and downloadable artwork to create enormous banners, posters, Correx boards, window stickers etc.
This is also in the form of a Flipbook and the link can be shared freely.

FREE SCOTLAND FROM WESTMINSTER RULE Crowdfunder
The National has covered this since Laura Pollock’s article https://www.thenational.scot/news/25417492.scottish-independence-activists-campaign-1-message/
This Crowdfunder was set up specifically to raise more funding for Independence related materials. As of today 4th November we have raised just under £2,700 of our £3,000 target with 6 days left. The fund is open to any Independence supporting group or individual to help with the cost of their individual campaigns.

PETITION: Force the BBC to Offer On-Demand 50% TV Licence Refunds for Royal Charter Breach
Petition addressed to the BBC Board, Director-General, and UK Government to enable on-demand 50% TV licence refunds (£87.25 from £174.50 annual fee) for Royal Charter breaches on impartiality and accuracy, enforced by Ofcom.
Focus: Systemic bias in BBC Scotland news, accused of depicting SNP government as incompetent, exaggerating issues (e.g., drug deaths, ferry costs), omitting UK failures, and pushing pro-Union narratives. Evidence: 5+ 2025 apologies/corrections (exceeding all UK regions), falling viewership, rising Ofcom complaints, academic critiques, and past breaches.
Impacts: Fraudulent under consumer laws, wasting funds on partisan content; misleads voters, erodes Scottish trust, fosters division.
Solution: Independent hotline for opt-in refund claims on proven errors (e.g., no 24-hour apology), triggering revenue loss to enforce accountability and reform. Demand: Implement in 30 days. Goal: 100,000 signatures. Hashtags #BBCRefund50 #FixBBCBias

Video Brochure For YES Groups
This is a new initiative which will be offered to 5 YES groups to pilot over the next 2-3 months.
The Video Brochure offers a user-friendly tool for engaging undecided voters in the push for Scottish Independence, bypassing unreliable social and mainstream media (except The National of course!). Its simple design auto-play on opening, intuitive volume and video selection buttons, no Wi-Fi required—makes it ideal for those reluctant to research online or use devices.
Key advantages include:
Targeted Reach: YES Groups can load up to 6 timely, relevant videos (e.g., rebuttals or key messages) and lend the brochure for 2-3 days, followed by personal discussions to build connections and address doubts.
Flexibility: Easily update or replace videos via laptop/tablet, adapting to evolving campaign needs without ongoing costs.
Cost-Effectiveness: Priced like a large banner but reusable indefinitely, maximizing impact per investment.
Independence: Empowers grassroots efforts, ensuring pro-Independence messages reach voters directly, unfiltered by the Anglo-State.

Passport To Scotland
This is a booklet written and published by fellow campaigner Julia Campbell. It’s full of facts about Scotland with no political bias or spin, and it’s a great resource for persuading undecided voters who currently view Scotland through the lens of BBC Scotland and now sadly STV. It’s receiving great reviews from people who are buying it through our Crowdfunder.

AdVan
I’m looking into the possibility of hiring an AdVan similar to those used by Led By Donkeys and touring main towns and cities in early 2026 with campaign messages. This is however quite expensive and I need to weigh up the cost vs benefits. Work in Progress.

Website FREE-SCOTLAND.scot
This site has been created to bring together material and media from many active Media Creators, for example, Yes In Pictures, Colin Dunn, Bill Cruickshank, Angry Pict, The Daily Rebuttal Team and just recently Sara Salyers and Christophe Dorigné-Thomson have agreed to join.

I’ve added a section on Rebuttal Resources, and although there is not much there at present simply because all the other initiatives have taken up my time, this section will be filled with material over the next few months. My intention is for this site to be a go-to place for Independence supporting groups and individuals looking for rebuttal resources.

Apart from that, I’ve been sitting around doing nothing !
