Campaign - Free Scotland From Westmister Rule

It's pretty clear by now that we will never be granted ‘permission’ to hold a Scottish Independence referendum. Never. Ever. None of the English political parties who squat in Westminster will allow it. The Anglo state will make sure it doesn’t happen. The only route to Scottish independence is by NOT asking for permission, but through work such as that being done by Sara Salyers and team.

#YesScots and Meidas Scotland have agreed to collaborate on a new initiative, namely a long-term comms campaign putting forward one simple message to be repeated over and over. Artwork courtesy and copyright of Colin Dunn, aka #indyposterboy

We will be using one design, depicting Scotland breaking the chains from Westminster Rule with the simple caption

 “Free Scotland From Westminster Rule”

The campaign follows on from our Pro-Independence Banner initiative earlier this year with over 22 YES groups and individuals participating. Over 68 large banners were delivered across Scotland, and YES groups are actively displaying many of these now. A proven track record has been demonstrated and we are building on its success.

We encourage all YES groups and Indy supporters to participate in this new campaign by quoting with your own comments of support and reposting on your social media including the hashtag

#freescotland26

Our initiative is to help unite Independence groups and supporters, therefore we encourage you to use, copy and share the main message - get rid of Westminster.

We have already started printing and distributing large banners, A2 and A3 size Correx boards, posters and window stickers.

Not all independence supporters and groups may have sufficient funds to participate, therefore we would like voluntary contributions to help out and spread the word.

We will set up a new Crowdfunder this coming week (w/c 18th August) specifically to fund the cost of materials and production. As per our last campaign we will use the company, Edinburgh Banners. The more funds we have the more banners and boards we can produce. Other resources including T-Shirts and Tote bags are already availalble to purchase from O'Connells of Scotland https://oconnells.scot/collection/freescotland/

For the avoidance of doubt;-
we have no intention of becoming a separate political party
we are not putting forward candidates
